[JJK] Jujutsu Kaisen Fest 2024 Delivers Thrilling Performances with Star Cast and Surprise Guests
The special event Jujutsu Kaisen Fest 2024 was held on the 26th at Pia Arena MM, featuring official support for the anime.
The event saw appearances by voice actors such as Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori), Yuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro), Asami Seto (Nobara Kugisaki), Yuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo), Kenjiro Tsuda (Kento Nanami), Subaru Kimura (Aoi Todo), Aya Endo (Shoko Ieiri), Nobunaga Shimazaki (Mahito), and Takahiro Sakurai (Suguru Geto). Additionally, surprise guest Tomoyo Kurosawa (Takada-chan) made a special appearance.
Soshi Sakiyama (the artist behind the ending theme for Hidden Inventory and Premature Death) and composer Yoshimasa Terui also performed with the Jujutsu Fest 2024 special band, delivering a captivating event full of live voice acting, readings, and performances that enchanted the audience.
Jujutsu Fest 2024 opened with a prologue featuring the first-year students Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara. Memorable scenes from Hidden Inventory and Premature Death were brought to life through live voice acting, accompanied by live performances from the special band. The story centered around Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri, creating an immersive experience.
In the comedy skit Juju Stroll! Minato Mirai in 2006, Nakamura, Sakurai, and Endo portrayed Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri as they enjoyed a lighthearted adventure touring Minato Mirai’s famous spots. Tsuda also made a comedic appearance as Nanami, adding to the episode's charm.
The event also featured a discussion corner titled Intense Debate: Red vs. Blue 2024, where the cast discussed various topics, with the audience voting on the majority opinion. One question asked which team you’d prefer to play games with. Team A (Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara) won the majority of votes over Team B (Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri), with Kimura passionately advocating for Team A.
Afterward, fans were asked which cursed technique they'd choose if they could only have one. Choices included Nanami’s Ratio Technique, Todo’s Boogie Woogie, and Mahito’s Idle Transfiguration. While Tsuda and Shimazaki opted for their characters' techniques, the audience overwhelmingly chose Todo’s Boogie Woogie, leading to lively discussions.
After the cheerful talk corner, the event shifted to a dramatic live dubbing of the Shibuya Incident arc, starting with a flashback to Yuji’s prologue, followed by intense battle scenes involving Gojo and Geto’s reunion and Yuji and Megumi’s confrontation with Awasaka. The tension heightened during Nanami’s final moments, with the audience's blue penlights illuminating the hall as Nanami’s thoughts of the ocean echoed in the scene.
In the climactic moments, Yuji, inspired by Todo, regained his strength. A surprise guest appearance by Kurosawa, dressed as Takada-chan, stole the spotlight as she performed Saikouchou☆JUMPING! in character, drawing applause and cheers from the audience.
The event concluded with a message from Megumi Ogata (Yuta Okkotsu), and the cast reflected on the event. Uchida expressed his gratitude for revisiting the origins of Jujutsu Kaisen, while Sakurai, participating in his first Jujutsu Fest, acknowledged the intensity of the scenes and the audience’s applause that made it even more immersive.
Jujutsu Fest 2024 captured the hearts of fans with its blend of drama, humor, and live performances, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
