"Jujutsu Kaisen" Season 2 "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" Compilation Movie to be Released in Theaters Next Year - A Story Depicting the Past of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, the 'Strongest Duo'
It has been announced that a compilation movie of the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc from the TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" Season 2 will be released in theaters in 2025. This was revealed today, on the 25th, at the special event "Jujufes 2024" held at Pia Arena MM.
The "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc of "Jujutsu Kaisen" was broadcast over five episodes in July 2023, depicting the past of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto during their high school days. The newly unveiled visual features Gojo, Geto, Riko Amanai, Toji Fushiguro, and other memorable characters in striking scenes. The movie will once again portray the unforgettable "youth of the strongest duo" on the big screen.
Additionally, during the event, it was announced that the Gege Akutami "Jujutsu Kaisen" Exhibition will be held from April 19, 2025, at Knowledge Capital in the North Building of Grand Front Osaka. Following the Osaka exhibition, there will also be a traveling exhibition in Fukuoka during the summer of 2025.
Furthermore, the "Jujutsu Kaisen" official guidebook for the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" and "Shibuya Incident" arcs, featuring setting materials and commentary from staff and cast, is set to be released on October 4.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a dark fantasy series based on a manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since March 2018. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he is drawn into a world of battles against curses after the seal on a powerful "cursed object" is broken.
The manga has surpassed 90 million copies in circulation. The TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021 and gained widespread popularity. A theatrical anime was released in December 2021, and the second season of the TV anime aired from July to December 2023. Additionally, a sequel titled "Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game" is currently in production.
