Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy based on the manga of the same name, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who is thrust into the world of curses and battles after the seal of a powerful cursed object is broken.

Synopsis

This dark fantasy battle manga tells the story of jujutsu sorcerers who exorcise monstrous cursed spirits born from negative human emotions using jujutsu techniques.

Yuji Itadori, a high school student with extraordinary physical abilities, was raised by his grandfather and never knew his parents. One night, after his grandfather's death, a powerful cursed object sealed at Yuji's school is released, unleashing malevolent cursed spirits that attack people. To save his stranded upperclassmen, Yuji teams up with jujutsu sorcerer Megumi Fushiguro and charges into the school. However, when they are driven into a corner, Yuji consumes the cursed object—Sukuna's Finger—in order to gain power, inadvertently resurrecting the Special Grade Cursed Object, Ryomen Sukuna.

Following this, Yuji is captured by the jujutsu sorcerers and sentenced to death as the "vessel of Sukuna." However, thanks to Satoru Gojo's proposal, Yuji is given a reprieve with the condition that he must consume all of Sukuna's fingers before being executed.

Thus, Yuji enrolls in the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, beginning his life as a jujutsu sorcerer.

伏黒 恵 （一年）Megumi Fushiguro (First Year)

A prodigy who entered the college as a 2nd-grade sorcerer, Megumi is the only first-year student permitted to take on solo missions. His past experiences have shaped his belief in protecting those he holds dear.

釘崎 野薔薇 （一年）Nobara Kugisaki (First Year)

Grade: 3rd
A fierce sorcerer who moved to Tokyo from the countryside. She despises her small, closed-minded hometown and transferred to the Jujutsu Technical College, fully aware of the dangers, in pursuit of a better life in the city.

A teacher at Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, Satoru Gojo is known for his laid-back and unpredictable demeanor. Despite his often frivolous behavior, he is recognized as the strongest sorcerer and is committed to nurturing the next generation of powerful allies to shape the future of the Jujutsu world.

両面宿儺 (Ryomen Sukuna)

Over a thousand years ago, Ryomen Sukuna was a living terror and continues to haunt the world even after death as the King of Curses. During the peak of the jujutsu era, sorcerers united to challenge him but were defeated. After death, his body became a cursed object that attracts and amplifies curses. Now, having partially resurrected within Yuji Itadori's body by merging with one of his fingers, Sukuna seeks to annihilate humanity.
