[TOKYO GAME SHOW] Tokyo Game Show 2024 Draws 274,739 Visitors, Second Highest Attendance Ever

The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) announced that the total number of visitors to the real venue of the Tokyo Game Show 2024, held over four days from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29 at Makuhari Messe, reached 274,739 people. This marks a 12% increase compared to last year and is the second-highest in the event's history. Furthermore, the highest attendance on record was 298,690 people in 2018.

TGS2024, held under the theme "Lead the World Ahead with Games," featured a record-breaking participation of 985 companies and organizations from 44 countries and regions. Business negotiations were also actively conducted, with the number of meetings using the "TGS Business Matching System" reaching an all-time high.

Additionally, a total of 20 official programs were streamed online. Besides broadcasting through TGS's official accounts on platforms like YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), and Twitch, the programs were also available on platforms such as Niconico and the special Steam venue. For the Chinese audience, the event was streamed via DouYu and bilibili, and for Western audiences, it partnered with IGN.

The next "Tokyo Game Show 2025" is scheduled to be held from Thursday, September 25 to Sunday, September 28. (The real venue is planned to be Makuhari Messe).
