[TOKYO GAME SHOW] Palworld Thrills Crowds at Tokyo Game Show 2024 with Mascots, Photo Spots, and Exclusive PS5 Demo
On September 26, Pocket Pair, the developer and publisher of the game Palworld, made its debut at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS) held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The booth featured mascots, official cosplayers, and large photo spots, attracting massive crowds.
The booth faithfully recreated the world of Palworld, with official cosplayers dressed as the characters "Zoe," "Lily," and "Saya," alongside several mascot costumes of popular Pals welcoming visitors. In addition to Steam and Xbox versions, the world's first playable demo of the PS5 version of Palworld was available.
Other highlights included a "photo spot" where attendees could immerse themselves in the Palworld universe, Japan's first offline merchandise corner, a "Raid Event" with mascots interacting with visitors, and a playable demo area where participants could receive BIG stickers. The photo spot's main attraction was a life-size model of Jedran, and visitors who posted their photos on social media could receive an exclusive T-shirt. This marked the first offline sale of Palworld merchandise, and the booth also allowed attendees to experience the "Raid" events featured in the game in real life.
The booth was constantly crowded, with excited remarks like, "So this is the famous Palworld!" and "That monster is adorable!" echoing throughout. Many visitors were eager to take pictures with the mascots, contributing to the lively atmosphere.
