The manga Blue Lock (published by Kodansha) is set to collaborate with the world-renowned football team Liverpool FC. Fans will be able to see popular Blue Lock characters wearing Liverpool FC uniforms for a limited time, and a special campaign offering official Liverpool FC merchandise is also planned. Kodansha and Liverpool FC have been in an official global partnership since 2021, making this dream collaboration a reality.

To commemorate the start of the anime’s second season in October, Blue Lock volumes 1 through 5 will be released with special collaboration covers. These covers will feature Isagi, Bachira, Kunigami, Chigiri, and Nagi wearing the uniforms of the legendary Premier League club, Liverpool FC. The volumes will begin appearing in stores around October 1 and will be available until stock runs out. There will be no additional print runs, and the contents of the comic will remain the same as volumes 1 to 5.

Additionally, to celebrate the Blue Lock x Liverpool FC collaboration, a campaign will offer 200 lucky winners a chance to win Liverpool FC merchandise, including autographed jerseys and soccer balls. To participate, fans must purchase the eligible volumes, which include Blue Lock volumes 1 to 31 (including special editions), Blue Lock - Episode Nagi volumes 1 to 5, or Blue Lock Character Book: Egoist Bible volumes 1 and 2.

Blue Lock is a manga series serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine. It follows Japan's national effort to create a forward player (FW) with "overwhelming egotism," a trait they believed the team lacked in the World Cup. The story revolves around 300 high school forwards, with only one destined to emerge as the revolutionary striker Japan needs, even at the cost of the other 299 players’ soccer careers.

The manga has surpassed 40 million copies in circulation, and the anime series aired from October 2022 to March 2023.
