Why is Sanrio Partnering with an English Language School? Introducing “We Act!” – A Unique Edutainment English School for Kids
On November 6, the Yaruki Switch Group, a leading educational service provider, announced its collaboration with Sanrio to launch We Act!, an edutainment-focused English language school for children, opening on November 30 in Tokyo’s Baji Koen area.
What is We Act!?
We Act! combines Yaruki Switch’s 50 years of educational expertise with Sanrio’s unique approach to “edutainment,” aiming to equip kids not only with English skills but also with the confidence to shape their own futures. The school’s concept centers on a playful yet immersive learning environment where children create a short film in English each month. In a studio-inspired classroom, Sanrio characters play movie crew roles while kids step into the roles of actors, engaging in auditions, voiceovers, rehearsals, filming, and even a premiere screening.
Building Essential Life Skills
Through this creative process, children develop self-motivation, collaboration skills, and imagination. Practicing for chosen roles, working with classmates, and interpreting scenes and emotions foster important personal skills—all while learning English in a fun, immersive way that aligns with Sanrio’s beloved character universe.
