The story and preview video for Episode 23 of the anime Kaiju No. 8 have been released. This episode will air in Japan on Saturday, September 27, at 11:15 p.m. JST. Due to scheduling adjustments by Japanese TV networks, the broadcast will begin 15 minutes later than usual. It will also be available on streaming platforms worldwide shortly after broadcast. In addition, a real-time global simulcast will be streamed on the social platform X.

Episode 23 Story

The Defense Force, struggling against a colossal kaiju that appeared simultaneously with others, is saved by a powerful long-range strike from Mina Ashiro. As reports of victories begin to come in from across Japan, five identified kaiju suddenly appear before Gen Narumi, Mina, and the other top squad members. Just as the situation deteriorates once again, Kafka Hibino (who had been ordered to stand by in preparation for the looming battle against Kaiju No. 9) faces the moment of decision.

The anime has been named the first Japanese work to join TikTok Spotlight. Gaining popularity overseas, Kaiju No. 8 has featured world-renowned artists—YUNGBLUD and OneRepublic for Season 1, and AURORA and OneRepublic for Season 2—drawing global attention.
