Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Unveils 10th Anniversary Key Visual, Finale Event in February, and New Short Film Featuring Eugene and Shino

Since its broadcast debut in October 2015, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. As part of the commemorative projects, a special compilation film titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr-Hunt - The Path of a Small Challenger - will be released in theaters. The film re-edits all 12 episodes originally distributed through the smartphone app Iron-Blooded Orphans G, with newly added scenes.

In addition, a brand-new short film Makuai no Kusabi (JP: 幕間の楔) will premiere as a double feature starting October 31.

On October 4, marking exactly 10 years since Episode 1 aired, a special 10th anniversary key visual was revealed. The visual features Mikazuki Augus, Orga Itsuka, members of Tekkadan, and Gjallarhorn, along with Wistario Afam, the protagonist of Urdr-Hunt, all gathered in a striking anniversary illustration.

A grand finale event, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 10th Anniversary Event – Tekkadan’s Celebration, is set for February 15, 2026, at Tachikawa Stage Garden with both daytime and evening performances. The first wave of confirmed guests includes Kengo Kawanishi, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Natsuki Hanae, Yuka Terasaki, and Hisako Kanemoto. Ticket applications opened on October 4 through Gundam Fan Club and the official website (lottery-based).

Furthermore, the official trailer for Urdr-Hunt and the short film Makuai no Kusabi has been released, revealing new scenes. In Urdr-Hunt, Wistario Afam participates in the high-stakes “Urdr-Hunt” race with a prize of 100,000,000,000 Melia, encountering allies, rival participants, and massive unmanned Mobile Armors.

The new footage for Makuai no Kusabi showcases the return of Mikazuki Augus, Orga Itsuka, Eugene Seven Stark, and Norba Shino, alongside Kudelia Aina Bernstein and other familiar characters from the TV series. Gundam Barbatos also appears, as well as new Mobile Suits. The film will run for a limited four-week engagement, with weekly rotating special footage featuring TV series characters and exclusive theater giveaways.

Originally broadcast from 2015 to 2017 in two seasons, Iron-Blooded Orphans follows a group of young boys working for a private security company as they rise up against the adults who oppressed them and challenge the ruling powers of Earth who treat Mars as a colony.
