McDonald's to Launch New Products in Collaboration with 'Kiki's Delivery Service'
Japan McDonald's has announced that it will launch three new burgers inspired by European cuisine, named "German Potato Thick Beef," "Peperoncino Juicy Hot Chicken," and "Bouillabaisse Shrimp," as part of the “Witch’s Delivery ‘European Burgers’” series. These will be available nationwide for a limited time starting from the 26th (Note: "Bouillabaisse Shrimp" will not be available in Fukuoka and Saga prefectures).
The "European Burgers" series offers a trio of flavors—beef, chicken, and shrimp—each inspired by European dishes. Delivered by Kiki the witch, these burgers combine McDonald's unique deliciousness with a visually delightful experience. The "German Potato Thick Beef" burger features a juicy, thick 100% beef patty with a filling of chunky potatoes, offering a satisfying bite. The "Peperoncino Juicy Hot Chicken" burger includes a spicy chicken thigh patty seasoned with red chili peppers, paired with a garlic and black pepper aioli sauce.
The "Bouillabaisse Shrimp" burger pairs the savory taste of bouillabaisse sauce and aioli sauce with a crispy shrimp cutlet, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. All burgers are served on a special square bun with a glossy, chewy texture that complements the ingredients.
Additionally, starting from the 25th, a new TV commercial featuring an animation collaboration with "Kiki's Delivery Service," originally written by Eiko Kadono, will air. The story shows Kiki and her black cat Jiji delivering the "European Burgers" on a broomstick. Aoi Yuki voices Kiki, and Daisuke Sakaguchi voices Jiji. The characters “Kiki” and “Jiji” are original illustrations created specifically for the “European Burgers” and are featured not only in the commercial but also on the product packaging.
