A Certain Scientific Railgun manga has officially concluded after nearly 19 years, drawing massive reactions from fans who praised its final chapter and emotional impact. Additionally, selected pages from the final chapter have been released.

The popular manga A Certain Scientific Railgun reached its final chapter in the May 2026 issue of Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh, released on March 27. Since its serialization began in 2007, the series has come to a close after approximately 19 years, quickly becoming a trending topic online.

Special Features and Messages from Creators and Cast

To commemorate the manga’s conclusion, the May 2026 issue of Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh includes a special feature with comments from original author Kazuma Kamachi and character designer Kiyotaka Haimura.

Additionally, tribute illustrations were contributed by manga artists working on other entries in the “Toaru” series, including Chuuya Kogino, Arata Yamaji, Yasuhito Nogi, and strelka.

Messages were also shared by key anime cast members, including Rina Sato, who voices Mikoto Misaka, along with Satomi Arai, Aki Toyosaki, and Kanae Ito. Composer Satoshi Yaginuma of fripSide, who has worked on multiple theme songs for the anime, also provided a message.



Anime Adaptations and Future Developments

The series has also enjoyed multiple anime adaptations. The first season aired from 2009 to 2010, followed by the second season in 2013 and the third season in 2020. Production of a fourth season has already been confirmed, signaling that the franchise will continue beyond the manga’s conclusion.
