The story and preview images for Episode 8 of the TV anime One Tatami Room Full of Life (JP: 一畳間まんきつ暮らし!, Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi!) have been revealed. This episode will air on Sunday, May 31 at 2:00 AM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 8 Story

The season is autumn. The grand sports day at Amamiya Girls' Academy has officially begun. Meiko hopes to just relax and enjoy the event, but the scale of this prestigious school for wealthy young ladies is on an entirely different level. Led by Rie, the acting chairperson, the festival features various events overflowing with money, where stacks of cash fly through the air and expensive props line the field. The gym uniforms are traditional bloomers. What is more, the grand prize for winning is a whole Wagyu cow. Determined to feed the premium Japanese beef to her younger brothers and sisters back home, Meiko sets her sights on ultimate victory.

Introduction

Meiko Morita, a high school student living in Akita, is suddenly chosen as a special transfer student for the prestigious all-girls school, "Amamiya Academy". Filled with a mix of anticipation and anxiety for her dream student life in Tokyo, Meiko makes the move to the big city.

However, what was actually waiting for her was the manga cafe "Hedgehog"! Now, she must live and work as part of a "service activity" in this manga cafe that doubles as a student dormitory, alongside a group of highly eccentric residents.

And so, Meiko's slightly mysterious life in a one-tatami-mat manga cafe begins!
