Star Detective Precure! Episode 32 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Luluka “Never Interrupt Someone Enjoying Ice Cream”

The story and preview images for Episode 32 of the new anime Star Detective Precure! (JP: 名探偵プリキュア！), the 23rd installment in the long running Precure series, have been revealed. The episode will air on September 6 at 8:30 AM (JST).

Episode 32 Story

Having left the Phantom Thieves Guild with nowhere else to go, Luluka Moria has been spending her time at Patisserie Chouchou, where Kurea is staying. In the afternoon, Anna Akechi and Mikuru Kobayashi also arrive, but then the shop receives a phone call from a female customer who says she left something behind.

When Kurea asks for more information, the woman explains that the lost item was a birthday present she received from her boyfriend. However, the call is disconnected before Kurea can learn any further details. Immediately afterward, Pochitan reacts to a Makoto Jewel.

They discover that a Makoto Jewel was stolen at one of the terrace tables, but none of the three customers who had been there appears to be troubled over losing anything important. Thanks to Kurea’s sparkle, Anna and the others conclude that the stolen item must have been the lost property belonging to the woman who called earlier, and that a Makoto Jewel had manifested within it.

Still not knowing what the birthday present actually is, they deduce that the culprit must be one of the three customers and attempt to question them.

Luluka, however, objects to questioning the customers because of her personal rule: “Never interrupt someone enjoying ice cream.” Instead, she begins investigating the case using a different approach.

Introduction

Star Detective Precure introduces the first detective themed Precure storyline in the franchise and is set primarily in 1999. The protagonist Anna Akechi is a 14 year old second year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, she encounters a fairy named Pochitan and is guided by a mysterious pendant found in her room, triggering a time slip from the year 2027 back to Makoto Mirai City in 1999.

There, Anna meets another 14 year old girl, Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a great detective. When a series of incidents begin to occur, the two girls find themselves unable to ignore people suffering from stolen treasured possessions. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure, solving mysteries with the catchphrase “That mystery will be cured” while protecting smiles through sharp deduction and searching for clues that may allow Anna to return to her original time.
