Kagurabachi Vol. 12 Debuts at No. 1 in Japan Manga Ranking

Kagurabachi Vol. 12 debuted at No. 1 in this week’s Oricon manga ranking with estimated sales of 50,941 physical copies in Japan. Dandadan Vol. 25 followed at No. 2 with 43,453 copies, while previous leader Kingdom Vol. 80 moved down to No. 3. The Top 10 underwent a major refresh this week, with seven new entries and eight titles published by Shueisha.

Shueisha accounted for eight of the Top 10 titles and an estimated 225,148 copies, or 85.5% of total Top 10 sales.

New Volumes Take the Top Two Spots

Kagurabachi Vol. 12 entered the ranking at No. 1 with 50,941 estimated copies sold, while Dandadan Vol. 25 debuted close behind at No. 2 with 43,453 copies.

The gap between the two titles was only 7,488 copies. Together, the two new releases accounted for 94,394 copies, representing more than a third of all estimated sales across this week’s Top 10.

Last Week’s Leaders Move Down the Ranking

Kingdom Vol. 80 remained the strongest returning title at No. 3 with 37,039 copies. Its weekly sales were down 56.5% from 85,164 copies the previous week, although estimated cumulative sales for the volume rose to 402,418 copies.

Made in Abyss Vol. 15 moved from No. 2 to No. 6, with weekly sales falling 67.3% to 20,379 copies. Blue Lock Vol. 40 moved from No. 3 to No. 7, selling 17,833 copies, down 45.3% week on week.

Shueisha Dominates a Heavily Refreshed Top 10

The arrival of seven new titles dramatically changed the composition of the ranking. Shueisha placed eight titles in the Top 10, including all five of the highest-ranked books.

Those eight titles generated an estimated 225,148 copies combined, equivalent to 85.5% of the Top 10 total of 263,360 copies. The concentration was driven particularly by the strong debuts of Kagurabachi Vol. 12 and Dandadan Vol. 25.
