Torimonogatari Takes No. 1 in Japan's Weekly Light Novel Ranking

Torimonogatari, the latest novel in NISIOISIN's MONOGATARI series, takes No. 1 in this week's Oricon light novel ranking with an estimated 7,632 physical copies sold in Japan. WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT, Part 1 moves down to No. 2 with 3,930 copies, while a new short-story collection from Though I Am an Inept Villainess enters at No. 3 with 3,755 copies.

Torimonogatari Opens at No. 1

NISIOISIN's Torimonogatari enters the ranking at No. 1 with 7,632 estimated copies. The new full-length MONOGATARI series novel was released in Japan on September 4 and immediately takes the top position in this week's chart. Its 7,632 copies account for 25.3% of all estimated sales across the Top 10.

WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT Drops to No. 2

WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT, Part 1 moves from No. 1 to No. 2 after selling an estimated 3,930 copies. That represents a 79.9% decline from the previous week's 19,560 copies. Its estimated cumulative sales now stand at 23,490 copies.

A Heavily Refreshed Top 10

The upper ranks changed substantially this week. Though I Am an Inept Villainess: Short Story Collection 1 enters at No. 3 with 3,755 copies, while only three titles from last week's Top 10 remain in the current chart. Maho Shojo no Majo Saiban drops from No. 3 to No. 7, and the latest Kirby novel moves from No. 4 to No. 10. KADOKAWA places six titles in the Top 10, the most of any publisher this week.
