New Film Expelled from Paradise: Resonance from the Heart Reveals Mysterious New Cut

The upcoming film Expelled from Paradise: Resonance from the Heart is set for release in 2026. This latest installment follows the 2014 original anime film Expelled from Paradise, the first theatrical work created by Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus) and director Seiji Mizushima.

At Aniplex Online Fest 2025, held on September 13, a special announcement video was unveiled. The footage revealed that in October, a staff meeting for the film will be hosted at Machi★Asobi Vol.29. It was also confirmed that new updates will be revealed in November. Alongside this announcement, a brand-new cut from the film was released, sparking excitement among fans.

About Expelled from Paradise

Originally released in 2014, Expelled from Paradise was the first collaboration between Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus) and director Seiji Mizushima on a fully original anime film. The movie received critical acclaim across various fields and became a major box office success.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the film was screened once again as Expelled from Paradise -Impelled by 10th Anniversary- in a limited two-week revival run starting November 15, 2024. Now, more than a decade later, fans eagerly await the long-anticipated sequel Expelled from Paradise: Resonance from the Heart set to debut in 2026.
