The manga "Burning Kabaddi" (author: Hajime Musashino) reached its final chapter in the MangaONE app on the 23rd, concluding its 9-year run since its serialization began in July 2015.
"Burning Kabaddi" follows the story of high school boys who dedicate themselves to the sport of kabaddi through their club activities. The protagonist, Tatsuya Yoigoshi, was a renowned soccer player known as 'the Indomitable Yoigoshi,' but he cut ties with sports upon entering high school. One day, he is approached by a certain sports club. This sport, a 'running martial art,' involves cooperating with teammates to capture and bring down opponents who invade their territory. This sport is kabaddi. The series began serialization on Shogakukan's MangaONE app and the Ura Sunday website in July 2015. It was adapted into a TV anime in 2021 and a stage play in 2022.
