[Full Casts Includes] Live-Action 'Oshi no Ko' Trailer Released: B-Komachi's New Song and Poster Revealed
On the 7th, Amazon and Toei's live-action adaptation project of Oshi no Ko unveiled a new trailer and poster visual.
The newly released trailer depicts the story of the twin siblings Aqua (Kaito Sakurai) and Ruby (Nagisa Saito) as it unfolds following the loss of their mother, the legendary idol Ai (Asuka Saito). Aqua, driven by a desire for revenge, seeks to uncover the truth behind his mother's death, while Ruby dreams of becoming an idol like her mother. The two siblings charge forward into the entertainment industry, each with their own ambitions. However, what awaits them is not just the glamorous world, but the harsh reality hidden behind the scenes.
"The entertainment industry runs by breaking the hearts and lives of children." The trailer also reveals love reality shows and drama shoots, where schemes and ulterior motives are at play behind the glittering surface. As Aqua and Ruby plunge into this adult-driven, deceit-filled world of showbiz, will they be able to survive and uncover the truth about Ai's death?
Additionally, the original song "We Are the Invincible Idols!!" by B-Komachi, the idol group formed by Ruby, former child actress Kana Arima (Nana Hara), and popular influencer MEM-cho (Ano), was revealed for the first time in the trailer.
The poster visual released alongside the trailer contrasts the dazzling smiles of Ai and B-Komachi during their glittering performances with the grim expression of Aqua, determined for revenge, and the troubled Akane Kurokawa (Mizuki Kayashima), who is tormented by online abuse after appearing in a love reality show. The poster highlights the "light" and "shadow" lurking in the entertainment world.
The live-action drama series Oshi no Ko will be exclusively streamed worldwide on Amazon's Prime Video for Prime members starting at 9:00 PM on November 28. The film, which continues the story of the drama, will be distributed by Toei and released nationwide on December 20.
