Ranma 1/2 Episode 2 Introduces Original Character Ichirou, Voiced by Tomokazu Seki – Full Synopsis Inside
The synopsis, scene cuts, and preview video for Episode 2 of the brand-new Ranma 1/2 TV anime have been revealed. The episode introduces "Ichirou," an anime-original character voiced by Tomokazu Seki, who does not appear in the original manga.
Ichirou is a member of Furinkan High School's broadcasting club and is known for his passionate commentary on matches with his unique style. He’s been dubbed the "Wordsmith Magician" for his mastery of words, although this title may or may not be official.
Seki commented, "I’m thrilled to take on the role of Ichirou, a member of the Furinkan High broadcasting club, in Ranma 1/2. I had the pleasure of providing commentary for various matches, incorporating ad-libs as directed by the producer to add excitement to the series. Please enjoy the broadcast!"
Ranma 1/2 is a martial arts romantic comedy centered around high schooler Ranma Saotome, who transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water, and his fiancée Akane Tendo. The original TV anime aired from 1989 to 1992, followed by several movies and OVA adaptations. In 2011, the series was adapted into a live-action drama starring Yui Aragaki as Akane.
Episode 2: "I Hate Boys!" Synopsis
Ranma enrolls at Furinkan High School, the same school as Akane. Upon arriving, they find a group of male students at the school gate, all waiting to ask Akane out. Among them is Tatewaki Kuno, the captain of the kendo club, who has feelings for Akane but falls head over heels for Ranma in his female form…!
