The immensely popular manga "Ranma ½" is set to return with a completely new TV anime, airing for the first time in 32 years since 1992. The original manga was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from Issue 36 of 1987 to Issue 12 of 1996 and remains a beloved classic to this day.

The brand new "Ranma ½" anime will begin airing on October 5, 2024, every Saturday at 24:55 on the Nippon TV network. Additionally, it will be exclusively available for streaming on Netflix immediately after the broadcast.

Introduction

Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo, the third daughter of the Tendo Dojo, are engaged to be married as arranged by their parents. However, Ranma has a peculiar problem...

During training in China, he fell into the legendary training ground known as the "Cursed Springs." As a result, he has developed a strange condition where he turns into a girl when splashed with cold water and returns to being a boy when splashed with hot water!

Episode 1: "Ranma Arrives" Summary:
Soun Tendo eagerly awaits the return of his close friend’s son, Ranma Saotome, who is also the fiancé of his daughter Akane, from China. On the long-awaited day, a surprise greets them—a cute girl with pigtails and a giant panda! During their martial arts training, the Saotome family had fallen into the legendary training ground known as Jusenkyo. As a result, Ranma now transforms into a girl when splashed with water, and his father Genma turns into a panda!

Episode 2: "I Hate Boys!" Synopsis
Ranma enrolls at Furinkan High School, the same school as Akane. Upon arriving, they find a group of male students at the school gate, all waiting to ask Akane out.
