The synopsis and scene previews for Episode 2 (overall Episode 26) of the second season of the Blue Lock anime (Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan), which began airing on TV Asahi on October 5 with a total of 14 episodes, have been released.

Blue Lock is based on the manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It tells the story of a national high school soccer project launched by Japan following their defeat in the Soccer World Cup, aiming to create a forward player with "overwhelming egoism." The project gathers 300 high school soccer players—all forwards—where 299 will have to give up their soccer dreams for one to emerge as a revolutionary striker who can change the future of Japanese soccer.

The manga has surpassed 40 million copies in circulation, and the first season of the TV anime aired from October 2022 to March 2023.

Episode 26 "The Assassin and the Ninja" Synopsis

After completing the second selection of the Blue Lock project, 35 high school forwards remain. Three weeks later, the survivors face their next challenge: a crucial match against the U-20 Japan national team to determine the continuation of the Blue Lock project.

Ego announces that the team for this unmissable showdown will be formed around the top 6 players based on overall rankings. The remaining forwards who didn’t make the top 6 will compete in trials for the remaining starting positions.
