"Blue Lock" (BLUELOCK) is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) in issue 35 of 2018. In May 2021, it won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shonen category. In 2023, it became the only soccer manga to achieve first place in Oricon's manga sales ranking, surpassing other popular titles with over 10 million copies sold. The first season of the anime aired in October 2022, and a theatrical anime release is scheduled for April 2024, and "Blue Lock Season 2: Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan" began airing in October 2024. In Season 2, fans will witness the appearances of Blue Lock participants who were barely featured in Season 1, such as Ryusei Shido and Tabito Karasu, as well as the standout performances of Japan's U-20 national team players, including Sae Itoshi.


BLUE LOCK Synopsis

If you’re not the world’s biggest egoist, you can’t become the world’s best striker.

To develop a striker who will lead Japan to victory in the World Cup, the Japan Football Association launches a new plan.

Its name is the “Blue Lock” project.

300 high school students are gathered. And all of them are forwards (FW).

A striker who will bring a revolution to Japanese soccer will be born,at the cost of the soccer lives of 299 others. But who will it be?

——Now, the most intense, the craziest soccer anime in history begins.
