Set in a medieval Eastern setting, the series follows a young girl serving as a "poison taster," who solves various complex incidents in the imperial court. The original novel began serialization on the novel submission site "Shousetsuka ni Narou" in October 2011, later published by "Hero Bunko." The manga is currently being serialized in Monthly Big Gangan and Monthly Sunday GX, with collected volumes also available.
