After encountering the terrifying "Turbo Granny," the two are cursed and must face various supernatural phenomena. Serialized in Shonen Jump+ since April 2021, the story combines elements of the occult, action, battle, romance, and youth, which has made it incredibly popular, with over 3.2 million copies of the manga in circulation. The anime Dandadan will begin airing on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12:26 AM on the MBS/TBS network’s "Super Animeism TURBO" block.

■Synopsis

Momo Ayase, a high school girl born into a family of spiritual mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic, start talking after Momo helps him out from being bullied. However, they soon argue because Momo believes in ghosts but denies the existence of aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but denies the existence of ghosts. To prove each other wrong, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital rumored to be a UFO hotspot, and Okarun visits a haunted tunnel. There, both encounter overwhelming supernatural entities beyond their understanding. In the midst of danger, Momo awakens her hidden powers, and Okarun gains the power of a curse, as they face the looming terrors together! Will a destined love also begin to bloom? The occult battle and youthful romance story begins!

A high school girl from a family of spiritual mediums. She prefers serious men. While she doesn't believe in aliens, she does believe in ghosts. After being abducted by Serpo Aliens, she awakens her hidden psychic abilities.

A high school boy obsessed with the occult. He doesn't believe in ghosts, but he believes in aliens. He finds himself in a chase to break the curse cast by Turbo Granny.

Seiko

Momo's grandmother and a powerful medium known as Dodoria Santa. She is capable of creating barriers around the house and provides advice to Momo and the others.

A popular beauty at school. After picking up a mysterious object, her abilities begin to blossom. She mistakenly believes that Momo, with her psychic powers, is a demon.
