The latest episode of the completely new Ranma 1/2 anime has unveiled its plot synopsis, preview images, and teaser video for Episode 5, titled “Not Cute.”

Ranma 1/2 is a martial arts romantic comedy centered around high schooler Ranma Saotome, who transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water, and his fiancée Akane Tendo. The original TV anime aired from 1989 to 1992, followed by several movies and OVA adaptations. In 2011, the series was adapted into a live-action drama starring Yui Aragaki as Akane.

Episode 5 Synopsis: “Not Cute”

After getting caught up in the fight between Ranma and Ryoga, Akane’s hair is accidentally cut. Using this moment as a chance to put her feelings for Dr. Tofu in perspective, she decides to embrace a new look with a short haircut. Seeing Akane’s new appearance stirs unexpected feelings within Ranma.

Then, on a rainy night, Ryoga returns once again, seeking revenge against Ranma. While Ranma loses track of Ryoga, a soaked black piglet appears in Akane’s room…
