Sometimes a wonderful twist is when voice actors cover classic J pop as endings. In 2024, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian had weekly covers of older Japanese hits by the cast. I looked forward to it every week. I am an old guy, so it hit my nostalgia hard in the best way.

Too Many Losing Heroines! picked songs that matched the feelings of whichever character was spotlighted every few episodes. I think it was a real success. It is always a joy to see classic J pop rediscovered by a younger generation. In my categories, this is number 5, covers of past songs. I barely touched number 3 this time, songs by anisong singers or voice actors, and I hope to write about that another day.
