■Aoteru Misumi’s Profile
A young man born and raised in the Ehime District of Yamato. His career path evolved from an Ehime Agricultural Official to a Frontier General Corps Inspector, followed by a period of imprisonment after being stripped of his rank, before eventually being appointed as the Third Secretary of the Agricultural Ministry (司農丞).

After losing his parents at a young age, he was raised under the protection of Nobuhito Higashimachi, a family friend and library director. Through his time at the library, he mastered literacy, knowledge of the Old Civilization, and cartographic design skills, which led to his early appointment as an agricultural official in Ehime.

When his wife, Saki Higashimachi, was executed under the orders of Denki Taira, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Aoteru initially vowed revenge. However, he restrained himself from an emotional, violent retaliation; instead, he used logic to persuade Taira, leading to the execution of the corrupt tax official who was the true root of the incident.

Following Saki's burial, he traveled to Osaka (following her final words to him) where he met Yoshitsune Asama. Through his exceptional eloquence, he successfully completed the "Toryumon" (The Gate to the Dragon) trial to enter the service of Frontier General Mitsuhide Ryumon. Because of his highly rational and argumentative nature, his father-in-law, Nobuhito, once described him as a "stubborn, hair-splitting man."

His hobbies include mapping, and he is a smoker who wears his hair in a 7:3 side-part. During the Seii's westward invasion, he was ordered to remain in Osaka, but he successfully deciphered the hidden intent behind Strategist Kaku's plan, persuaded Emperor Fuji III, and contributed significantly to their victory.

However, when he protested for the release of General Ryumon who had been imprisoned by Taira's schemes, Aoteru was arrested and spent four years in prison. He was eventually released through an amnesty coinciding with Taira’s ascension to the throne and was appointed as the Third Secretary of the Agricultural Ministry (the No. 3 official in the department overseeing finance and agriculture). In times of war, he is assigned the role of a military advisor.
