The Emperor of Yamato and the nominal ruler of the nation. Although he was the third son of a concubine to the late Emperor Fuji II and was not originally in a position to inherit the throne, he was installed as the Emperor at the age of four. This ascension was orchestrated by his maternal uncle, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denki Taira, who poisoned Fuji II and annihilated all opposing factions to seize control.

For years, he was raised by Denki Taira to be an ignorant and weak-willed monarch, serving as a mere puppet whose imperial authority was exploited to legitimize Taira’s dictatorship. He is characterized by an extremely timid and faint-hearted personality.

However, during the Seii’s westward invasion of Yamato, a turning point occurred. Caught in the confrontation between Aoteru Misumi—who sought an early end to the war—and Denki Taira, Fuji III defied Taira’s wishes for the first time. Acting on his "own will" to "protect the lives of the people," he adopted Aoteru’s proposal, showing the first signs of awakening as a true statesman.
