Universal Studios Japan x Frieren Merchandise Lineup Revealed: Staff Replica Figures Come in Five Varieties and Tanezaki Say “They Get It!”

Universal Studios Japan and the hit TV anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End are currently holding a special collaboration event that began on May 30. Alongside the attraction experience, a wide range of USJ exclusive Frieren merchandise is now available throughout the park.

The original collaboration items are being sold at the Cinema 4-D Store. Among the highlights is a T-shirt priced at ¥4,500 (about US$28.50), featuring exclusive park artwork inspired by Frieren’s iconic “Magic That Creates a Field of Flowers.”

Fans can also choose from two versions of a headband priced at ¥3,600 (about US$22.80), themed after Frieren and Himmel respectively.

Merchandise Inspired by the World of Frieren

The collection includes items that look as if they came directly out of the anime itself. These include a Mimic-shaped cushion priced at ¥5,200 (about US$32.90) and a jacket recreating Frieren’s outfit priced at ¥9,900 (about US$62.70).

Other collectible items include a plush keychain for ¥2,900 (about US$18.40) and a printed cookie set with two tins for ¥2,000 (about US$12.70).


For everyday use, visitors can pick up practical items such as a stainless steel tumbler priced at ¥3,200 (about US$20.30), an acrylic pen stand with ballpoint pen for ¥2,900 (about US$18.40), and a set of two mini towels for ¥2,100 (about US$13.30).

Atsumi Tanezaki’s Favorite Item Is the Staff Figure Collection

During the opening ceremony, Atsumi Tanezaki, the voice of Frieren, revealed her favorite item from the collection: the Collectible Figure series priced at ¥1,700 (about US$10.80).

The figures faithfully recreate the staffs used by characters from the series and are available in five varieties featuring:

・Frieren
・Fern
・Denken
・Kanne
・Lawine

Tanezaki revealed that she received the Denken version and enthusiastically commented, “They get it!”

She continued:
“The staff collection is irresistible. It was the item that excited me the most. The fact that they actually made these is amazing. Thank you so much.”

Nobuhiko Okamoto Plans to Use His Favorite Item at Work

Meanwhile, Nobuhiko Okamoto, the voice of Himmel, selected the acrylic pen stand with ballpoint pen as his favorite merchandise item.

Smiling, he said:
“I think I might actually use it during voice recording sessions.”

All prices listed include tax. All collaboration merchandise is available exclusively to guests visiting Universal Studios Japan.
